Do the Thing-athon Wrap Up

Hello readers! Today, I am bringing you my wrap up for Do the Thing-athon. I did really well on this readathon. Please comment down below and let me know what you read, if you participated! I did manage to read 4 books, 2 of which were on my TBR. I oddly gave every book I read 3 stars, but I did enjoy reading as much as I did, even if I didn’t LOVE the books.

On the day this is going up, I should have one last book finished, being House of Earth and Blood, but the readathon will be over at that point.

Before we go any further, I want to disclaim there are affiliate links and ads within this post.

I read this book in almost one sitting on day 1. It has been TOO long since I read a physical book in one day. These days, I am always reading so many books at once and it prevents that.

This is the 5th book in the series, and is basically about the MC being pregnant and her doctor trying to steal her husband. I like that this book and the last one are less about the shopping addiction and more about real life.

The only negatives for me, within the entire series, is that everyone enables this woman to shop the way she does AND the miscommunication. I think so much could be solved with some simple conversations. However, they are quick reads and I’m (mostly) enjoying the ride.

I read this one on day 2 of the readathon. I didn’t think I would be doing this great! I have been so slumpy recently and this readathon really helped me.

This is the second book in a series about the children of Disney villains. In the United States of Arudan, all villains have been defeated and are kept on an island they can’t leave. This is now quite a few years since all the fairy tales have happened and follows 4 teens, who are the children of Maleficent, The Evil Queen, Jafar, and Cruella De Vil.

All the stories in the books are different than the ones in the movies, and are pretty quick and fun reads.

This is the first one I picked up that was not on the TBR and read it on day 3. I randomly found this series whilst book shopping, and I wish more people talked about it!

This is the second book in the Doll People series and is about a porcelain doll named Annabelle Doll. She, along with the Doll family (their last name is Doll), have been passed down for 3 generations.

Annabelle doll is feeling very empty in life and has never been outside of the dollhouse she has lived in for almost 100 years. Then, one day the sister of her owner gets her own set of dolls, and Annabelle becomes friends with a plastic doll named Tiffany Funcraft. They are going on an adventure through the house to find Auntie Sarah Doll, who went missing 60 years prior in the house.

In this second book, Tiffany and Annabelle accidently end up at another person’s house, and have to find their way back home. These are such cute books and they really remind me of Toy Story. If you like Toy Story, you might love these, too!

I started this book on day four and managed to finish it on the last day of the readathon. I don’t know why this book took me the most time when it is the shortest.

This series is about Darren, who becomes a vampire as a kid. All the books are his journey through being a vampire. In this world, vampires are not immortal. A full vampire ages 1 year for every 10 years they are alive. Darren is half vampire, and ages 1 year for every 5 year he is alive.

About two years have passed from the beginning of book 1 to the end of book 3 and this series takes place over a few decades. I’m really enjoying rereading these so far, but this book is by far my least favorite.

So, that is how I did for this readathon. I didn’t read everything on my TBR, but I really did well. I managed to only read books in series that I owned, which was so great! My owned TBR post will be up this Saturday, and I am happy to see less books on it!
