WWW Wednesday (9/15/21)

Hello readers! How has everyones reading been this past week? Mine has been pretty good so far. I have strayed pretty far from my TBR, but I still hope to get the books on it done within the month. I’ve been binging series in September ,which I can’t be mad about.

If you don’t know WWW Wednesday a weekly meme created by Taking On a World of Words where you share what you have read, are reading, and will read next. You can do this EVERY week, or as often as you like.

My current read is A Touch of Ruin, which is the 2nd book in the Hades & Persephone series. I am a little over 50% through and I’m really loving it!

This series reminds me of the books I read when I was a teen. It reads like YA, except there is smut in it. It’s so dramatic and emotional and I love it.

This is the 1st book in the series I mentioned before. I avoided reading this book for so long because I only heard bad things about it.

I can see why other people don’t enjoy this series. It isn’t perfect, but I’m enjoying it.

My biggest hope is that the author writes a book about Hermes next! I don’t know if she is planning on expanding this world, but I would love to see it if she did. One of the best aspects of the series is all of Persephone’s friends and her interactions with them, so I’d love to see more with them in this world.

I need to get back to the Cirque Du Freak series next. The last book abruptly ended and was just setup for this one. It didn’t have a plot at all.

I am really loving rereading this series, but I do think it could have been much shorter of a series if some of the books were just combines. Books one and two could’ve been one books and books 4 and 5 could’ve been combined, too.
