WWW Wednesday (10/19/2021)

Hello readers! I hope everyone’s reading is going well this month. I have not been reading much, but I’m still reading here and there. Today is day 3 of Tome Topple and I hope to succeed in this round, but we will just have to see.

If you don’t know, WWW Wednesday a weekly meme created by Taking On a World of Words where you share what you have read, are reading, and will read next. You can do this EVERY week, or as often as you like.

I am currently around 75% through Rock Paper Scissors. It is about a couple who have been together for 10 years. The wife wins this trip and they slowly find out something isn’t right about the trip. Both people have secrets and are doing things they shouldn’t be doing to the other one.

I’m really enjoying it and hopefully can get it done today. This is probably one of the best thrillers I’ve read in a while. So many of them have disappointed me lately, so I’m happy to be enjoying one for once.

Plain Bad Heroines is sort of a story within a story within a story. There is this author named Mary MacLane. We are hearing her book and there is this adaptation of her book happening with another book in the adaptation.

So far it is very slow, but this book has a lot to say. I’m only about 100 pages in so far, so I don’t have much of an opinion. However, I need to get this book done soon because it’s the 3rd day of Tome Topple and I’m failing!

The Final Girl Support Group is about a woman named Lynnette, along with five other women who are all final girls. We follow Lynnette, who now has pretty severe PTSD from her trauma.

I was worried I wouldn’t like this book because I really did not like Final Girls by Riley Sager. However, this book is nothing like that one. I think the characters were much more fleshed out and the story isn’t similar at all.

I had a hard time reading it because of the anxiety and racing thoughts. I found it kind of triggering for me. I REALLY hope this book is adapted one day because it would be an amazing movie.

A Spindle Splintered is about a girl who is destined to die and is about multiple dimensions in some way and is a sleeping beauty retelling.

I just got this on Libby yesterday and want to get it read soon. It is just over 100 pages, so it shouldn’t take too much time away from Tome Topple. It’s one of my most anticipated book of the year, so I have to squeeze it in!
