End of Year Book Unhaul

Hello readers! We are approaching the end of the year, so it is time to unhaul some more books. I don’t have a ton of books to unhaul this time, but I want to go into the new year without these books on my shelf.

All of these books are going to family members or a little free library in my area.

I have liked every Ruth Ware book less than the one before. I wanted to give this one the benefit of the doubt and try it because I own a copy.

Every time I think about reading it, I just dread it. I’m not going to take the chance when I can read other books I will like.

I have loved every Lisa Jewell book I’ve read except this one. I found Watching You hard to follow. I was about 40% in before I realized I thought two characters were the same person the whole book.

I’m going to keep reading Jewell’s books, but this one is leaving my collection.

I read this a few months ago and just thought it was okay. I don’t see a reason to keep it as I only gave it 3 stars.

I’m going to unhaul it and put it on my daughter’s shelf. Everytime I unhaul middle grade books, they are going to her shelf first.

This is another middle grade book going to my daughter’s shelf.

I read this one this month and I ended up DNFing it. I liked the lore and the world, but not the actual plot. I didn’t find myself wanting to pick it up, which is a huge sign to me that I didn’t love it.

I finally read Dark Matter recently and really didn’t enjoy it. For me, it was the end. I didn’t like the 2nd half of this book. It went in a way that I didn’t like. I can’t really go into detail without spoiling the whole book.

Anyways, I am unhauling this one and I think it’s going to my husband’s bookshelf.

Torn Away is a literary YA about a girl who loses her entire family and home in a tornado. I thought this was a good book, but I don’t feel attached to it in any way. I am looking to clear some room for books I’ll love more.

I know I’ve read this one and I’ve seen the movie, but I don’t remember anything about it.

I get so caught up in having a big home library that I let books stay when they should go!

I’m getting rid of this one and I think I won’t notice once it’s gone.

I read Warm Bodies 8 years ago now and in 2017 it became a series. I thought I would read the whole series, but I have just lost interest.

Owning this book doesn’t spark joy anymore. If I want to digest this story again, I will just watch the movie.
