Hello readers! How’s everyone been doing so far? I just got a new puppy on Monday, so my plate is quite full. We now have 7 pets in our house (and 5 humans), 4 of which are mine and my husband’s. BUT, this is our first dog. This is my last week off before homeschooling starts next week and I’m finally reading again. Without any further chat, let’s just jump into the first WWW Wednesday of 2022 and the first one I’ve done in 2 months!

Netgalley approved me for an ARC of this two days ago and it came out yesterday. I’m hoping to get it done this week, so I can have my review up soon.
This one follows Chloe. She was 12 when a bunch of teen girls went missing and the story takes place 20 years later when she is planning her wedding and teens start going missing yet again.

The Kindred is Alechia Dow’s sophomore novel. This one follows Felix, a nobleman, and Joy, a commoner. In this universe, people are connected at birth, one upper class, and one lower class, with these telepathic powers. This is due to the lower class people feeling unheard.
Felix is accused of murdering an entire royal family, so he and Joy get on a ship and are on the run.
This book is really slow, but I don’t mind it. I love the telepathy trope, so this was a perfect book for me. Alechia Dow just does scifi in a way that I really love.

This one is about the escalation of white male rage caused by Donald Trump becoming president, mostly toward immigrants.
I’m really excited to read this one. I didn’t think I was interested in this type of non-fiction, but Caste proved me wrong there. I usually stick to memoirs when I read NF.

A Flicker in the Dark is on my reading list too, I didn’t realise it was released already!?
Do you know if that’s a US release date or worldwide? If worldwide, I need to get my skates on!
Look forward to hearing your thoughts on it.
