Hello readers! Today, I thought I could go over some things with all of you involving the last few months with this blog, my reading, and some other things. I feel as though I need to let it all out to my readers, bookish or not. If you would like more updates from me, follow me on my Instagram, which is linked in my Linktree below. I post stories on there pretty frequently.
Back in November, I was working super hard. I was still posting 4 times a week and trying to prep for Blogmas. Last minute, I went into a reading slump and was very overwhelmed with life. I have a ton of animals to take care of, plus my daughter’s homeschooling. I think I also was spending far too much time on Tik Tok, lol. I decided to scrap Blogmas altogether because of this overwhelm. I did post some of the posts, and others were scrapped. I had quite a few posts that were already fully written before December came along. My brother-in-law also moved in with us.
In December, I still wasn’t reading much, but I was reading some. I also posted a few blog posts, but nowhere near my regular schedule or the Blogmas schedule I had planned. We decided to have a not-so-traditional Christmas and my husband, myself, our daughter, and my brother-in-law went out for Chinese food and then went to the movies. The guys saw Spiderman and my daughter and I saw Sing 2. We literally just got up to leave the theatre and my daughter threw up everywhere. She, my husband, and my brother-in-law all got food poisoning on Christmas. Sure that was a bad end of the day, but it was a memorable one for sure.
By the last few days of the month, I was ready to come back in January better than ever.
However, life has made other plans for me. I started SOOO many books. Here is a long list of every book I’ve started in 2021 so far that hasn’t been finished, NOT EVEN CLOSE.

I’ve tried so many books from any and every genre. I don’t think I disliked any of these books, it’s just me that can’t concentrate on any of them.
On the 10th, we unexpectedly acquired a dog. My father-in-law bought this puppy for his three youngest kids for Christmas and was now getting rid of her. (He does this multiple times a year) We had dogs in our household, but none of them were mine or my husband’s. We adopted this puppy and she took over my whole life, which I don’t mind one bit! My household now holds 5 people and 7 animals. My husband and I own 4 of them, 3 cats, and now one dog.

On the 15th, I sprained my ankle really bad taking the new puppy out. I have been unable to walk ever since, but I am getting better every single day. THEN, a few days later, my husband got into a wreck, of the fault of the other driver, and now our vehicle is totaled. 2022 is not my best year, but I’m working on it. I need some more time to work on myself, but I am still trying to get some content out there for my readers to enjoy.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE comment down below and let me know how great the books you are reading are and how good this year has been for you! I would love to see someone’s year going well.

You’ve had quite the start, I hope your ankle is better soon.
Reading slumps happen, if you want something that’s pure fun I’d recommend ‘do they know it’s Christmas yet?’ – it’s not a Christmas book, it’s a fun, light story filled with 1980s British nostalgia 😂
Other than that, The Reading List by Sara Nisha Adams is a wonderful book and will be one of my books of the year xxx

I will absolutely try both! I don’t know what it is about this slump, but I just can’t clumb out of it and I’m willing to try anything😂
