WWW Wednesday (February 9th)

Hello readers! Today’s post is a WWW Wednesday. I haven’t read much this month, but I have been reading! The last one I did was about a month ago and I said I was starting homeschooling soon. We finally started it back up this week, so everything is getting back to normal.

I fell and sprained my dang ankle, my husband got into a car accident, everyone in my house got sick, and one of my cats got sick, too! 2022 has been crazy so far, but we are slowly getting back to normal.

If you don’t know, WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme created by Taking On a World of Words where you share what you have read recently, are currently reading, and will read next. You can do this EVERY week, or as often as you like.

I just started Cold yesterday and plan to finish it today.

This one follows Todd, who is a ghost, and Georgia, who is not. I’m not sure how these two people are connected, but I’m sure I’ll find out. I know Georgia’s brother goes to the same school that Todd did, but we will see.

This book actually just came out yesterday and I’m happy Libby gave it to me on pub day!

Come Closer is about a woman who slowly comes to realize she is possessed.

There is absolutely some problematic language in this book. It is a product of its time, for sure. However, I did really enjoy the story itself. We don’t commonly see possession stories from the perspective of the person being possessed. I really enjoyed reading this one and I’ll speak about it more in my monthly wrap up.

Under the Whispering Door just came to my Libby account. I know this is somehow connected to The House in the Cerulean Sea. This one follows a guy who begs a reaper to give him one more week to live. He dies and realizes he didn’t really live while he was alive.

When I read his other book, I really enjoyed the writing style, so I hope this one is the same. It was sort of like an adult version of Lemony Snicket and I really liked it!
