Hello readers! Today is my birthday and I’m bringing you my TBR for April. I am hoping to do Tome Topple this coming month. I really, truly missed writing posts every day. If you’re new or have been here for a while, let me know how you are doing!
For Tome Topple 16, this round is a bit different. It is taking place from the 15th to the 28th. HERE is a post from one of the hosts, fellow blogger Treatyoshelf. That post has all the information and links to other hosts. There are 20 prompts and I think I’m shooting for 5 of them, so let’s jump into it!
I got From Blood and Ash for Christmas last year. I have started it, but haven’t made it far. I’m still having trouble reading physical books, but I’m getting to it this April.
FBAA fits prompt 14, a tome featuring a romance. This book is a fantasy romance, so there should be some in there.
I know this one follows Poppy. She is not supposed to experience any type of pleasure and she will be rewarded with an Ascension. These plans go awry and I know a romance is involved. I’ll know more once I’ve read it, so make sure to follow me for my wrap-up.
Malibu rising follows 4 siblings having an annual party. Nina is the host of the party, but she is feeling burned out by them, Jay is waiting for his dream girl to arrive, Kit has a secret guest, and Hud is holding onto a secret.
I just really enjoy this author’s books and am currently reading one of them and am waiting for my hold to come in for this one.
Here we are again with NAruto 3-in-1 volume 6. I have it out of the library yet again and I hope to get to it for Tome Topple. If I read it before that, I’ll just read the next one in the series.
I think I’ll put this down for a tome in a series I haven’t read in a while. I don’t think I read a book in this series in years and I really need to finish it. I’ve been a fan of Naruto since I was 12, which was 16 years ago!
I’ve had this one on my shelf for a long while now and I am really hoping to fit it in here. I’m putting it down for prompt 3, which is tome on your TBR with the most pages. TECHNICALLY, I have one that is bigger (WORDS OF RANDANCE BY BRANDON SANDERSON), but I wont be able to read anything else if I put that one in here. Priory is around 850 pages vand I’ll be lucky to get that done!
This one is about a Queen Sabran struggling to create an heir to her Queendom, Ead, the queens lady-in-waiting using dark magic to protect the queen, and Tane, a dragon rider.
Hostage is a graphic novel version of Christopher Andre’s recounting of when he was held hostage. Andre was taken hostage for 6 months in 1997.
I honestly picked this up at random from the library because of the size, but am excited to read it nevertheless.
