End of Year TBR

Hello readers! As you may have noticed, I did not make a TBR post for July. If you didn’t notice, I didn’t make a TBR post for July and I don’t plan on doing one for August. However, I thought about it and I want to do a general TBR for the last 4 months of the year. These are just books I want to get to before the end of 2022. It’s time to get through some series and end 2022 with a bang.

I might end up making a TBR in later months (or for a readathon), but these are my top-priority books. I really want to read these and have been putting them on hold for too long!

This is the final book in the Lord of the Rings and I need to get it done! The end of the year is approaching and I hope to finish some series.

I’ve owned this series for more than 10 years and just need to get it done. There really isn’t an excuse.

I now have 2 books left in the Shopaholic series. I’m so excited to finish this series as I have a ton of other Kinsella books on my shelf that I need to get to. However, I wanted to get through this series first.

The last book I read in this series left on a cliffhanger, so I’m hyped for the next one.

What Moves the Dead is a retelling of a Poe story. I am potentially going to love or hate this one. I have 2 weeks left on my wait from Libby, so I should get to it relatively soon.

Once I read the synopsis, I thought it sounded a lot like Mexican Gothic (which I did not enjoy), but I could still end up liking this one.

Mistborn Era 2 is coming to an end and I need to read it!

I read Mistborn Era 1 in 2021 and now need to get through the 2nd part, knowing the 4th book is coming out this fall. I’m most likely starting this series in August. I know of a few people doing readalongs of the series, so I might just join one of those.

I recently finished the cozy mystery series I was reading, which was mentioned in my last post. This one is food related and by a POC author! My diverse reading has gone out the damn window this year, but we are getting back into it.

I love cozy mystery series and I hope this one will be a long one. So far, this one only has 2 books, BUT only one is on Hoopla at the moment.

This is the newest book in the Bromance Book Club series following book club member Colton and immigration lawyer Gretchen.

This one comes out in November and I literally cannot wait to get my hands on this, so I can read it. I am so excited, but also sad. Colton is the last member of the club to have a book, so I assume this is the last in the series.

This is the sequel to Jewell’s book The Family Upstairs. I never knew a sequel would come, but I’m really excited. We really only get to see the past in the first book, so I’m hyped to see what happens next.

Jewell is currently my favorite thriller author and I will read literally anything she writes.

  1. Great idea! I normally set myself unrealistic targets with my TBR – last year’s was I’m not buying anything new until I;ve knocked 10 off the backlog …..I managed four before caving. So maybe a list before the end of the year is the way to go this year ha, ha. Good luck, I hope you enjoy them

    1. I usually set unrealistic targets as well and I’m trying to stop. What I want to get to changes so quickly these days. A list for the end of the year is a great way to keep yourself accountable for your goals while giving you plenty of room to breath! I highly recommend it. Thanks for commenting!
