Hello readers! It’s time for another Down the TBR Hole. It has come to my attention that some Bookish people have a Goodreads Want to Read shelf that is 1000+ books. So, I’d love to know how many you guys have on yours.
I prefer for mine to be under 100, but it currently isn’t at this point. It probably hasn’t been for a few years now. I’d get so overwhelmed with 1000 or more books on my list.
Essentially, you go through 5 to 10 books per post (I usually do 8) on your Want to Read shelf on Goodreads and purge all the ones you know you won’t be getting to anytime soon. I have no idea how many books we ended with last time, but we are starting with 165.
Y’all know that I love middle grade books, and Diary of a Wimpy Kid is one of my absolute favorites. I will not be taking this off my Want to Read shelf until I read it.
I do own this one, so there isn’t any excuse for me not to read it soon. I think there are 18 or 19 in the series now, and this is 16. I really do try to keep up, but this series is so dang long.
I was excited to read this for a long time, but not much anymore. I am struggling so bad with reading slasher books, but I have only liked 1 that I’ve read.
This book also has less than 3.5 on Goodreads, which doesn’t give me much hope. So, I’m going to remove this one. I’ll try another book by this author in the future that has better ratings.
I am going to remove Sacrifice even though I still want to read it. I actually got Court of the Vampire Queen for Christmas, which is this entire trilogy in one book.
That version of this book should be on my Want to Read shelf somewhere. Court of the Vampire Queen is separated into 3 parts, not 3 books, so it seems like she really intended it to be a longer story instead of 3 shorter ones.
This one is one I am keeping. I own this book, and actually won it in a Goodreads giveaway.
Have you guys ever won a Goodreads giveaway? I have been on Goodreads for 12 years and have only won this one.
I’ve read another Christmas book by this author that I really loved, so I am happy I won this. But, I have no idea what it’s actually about.
I really want to like this author so bad. I LOVED Radio Silence, but haven’t enjoyed anything else I’ve read by her.
I think this is a YA romance, which I don’t read much anymore. But, I’m still going to keep it for now because it is LGBT centered in some way.
This book has been on my Want to Read shelf so long that I have no idea what it’s about. Should I keep this?
I’m going to remove it for now. I haven’t been reading thrillers in a while, and when I do get in the mood again to, I will be reaching for ones higher up on my priority list or authors I like already.
I have wanted to read this for so long now, but it isn’t on Libby or Hoopla. I need to check and see if it’s on Scribd or something, so I can actually read it.
Or, I suppose I can buy it at some point. I’m not sure, but I do want to read it. It’s been at the top of my TBR, but I don’t own it or anything.
This is one that I’ve also wanted to get to for a while now, but this time I do own it.
I am really excited to see what Family of Liars has in story. I really loved We Were Liars, I know not everyone did, though.
I think it blew up on Booktok at some point so this author wrote a sequel. Either way, I am keeping this one.
