An autistic book lover

Stacking the Shelves (What I Got For Christmas)

Hello readers! Blogmas is almost over and so is 2023, so I thought I could share with you the books I got for Christmas. I don’t usually get books for Christmas, so I was so happy to see some under the tree this year. Most of these are romance, but I have some others sprinkled in.

Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Reading Reality. You can click the link to get all the details, but in short, it is for sharing your new books!

The only thing I know about this book is that it’s a female female romance.

I have only heard good things, so I’m sure it’ll be a good one.

This one is a really popular romance on Booktok and I just have to try it. It’s a spicy romance between a figure skater and a hockey player.

Figure skating is the prettiest sport! The ladies always have the most sparkly and beautiful dresses. I’ve always wanted to try ice skating, but I have no grace at all.

This is a scifi retelling of Marie Antoinette. Basically, she is a popular influencer in this book.

I’ve wanted to read this for a long time, but it isn’t on Libby or anything, so I haven’t been able to.

Well, I’ve read from this author before and I wanted to try their 2023 release. I know it follows a group of people who are all SA victims of the same person. The MC is also autistic.

I loved Reyes book Lesbiana’s Guide to Catholic School and I know I’m going to enjoy this one, too.

This one follows Hani, who comes out to her friends as bisexual and they don’t believe her. So, she starts fake dating Ishu to prove she isn’t lying to them, but starts to fall for Ishu.

Again, I’ve read from this author before and am hoping to enjoy this one as much as the one I read before, which is Donut Fall in Love.

This is a prequel to the Lemoncello’s Library series. It’s a middle grade series. Basically, Mr. Lemoncello is a board game maker who is the Willy Wonka of libraries.

This one follows Luigi Lemoncello as a kid so we can find out where it all began for him.

This book is the one that Hunger Games is (allegedly) a rip off of. This book came way before The Hunger Games and follows a bunch of teens who have to kill one another until there is only one left.

I cannot wait to read this. I may try to squeeze it into January this year. I would also love to see if it truly is similar to The Hunger Games. Most people say it is much more violent, but that is all I know.

Family of Liars is a prequel to We Were Liars. I enjoyed reading that book when I read it back in 2017 and I’m excited to delve back into whatever this book is about.

Bitter follows Bitter, who goes to this special school called Eucalyptus for special teens.

I know this book is connected to Pet in some compacity. It says on Goodreads it is a prequel to it. I’ll know more once I read it, of course.

The last one is Robert’s Bloodline Vampires series. All three books in one. It’s a why choose, paranormal romance following a half-human, half-vampire queen and three men.

This is another one I’m really excited to read, so I’ll fit it into January if I can. I have so many new good ones to choose from here.
