Hello readers! How is everyone doing? It’s that time again where I go over my Goodreads Want to Read shelf. I’m not technically back from my break, as I am writing this before my break, but I would love to hear from all of you!
If you don’t know, Down the TBR Hole was created by Lost in a Story and is meant to help you go through your Want to Read shelf on Goodreads 5-10 books at a time and remove books from it. My goal is to get it under 100, which is where I prefer it to be.

On the last Down the TBR Hole, we ended at 139 and it is still sitting at that number. I’ve taken off over 20 books so far in this series, so let’s go through some more!
I actually have an ARC of this book, so I am going to get to it. I didn’t get to it before the release, but I will be reading it before the end of this month for sure!
This one is said to be a retelling of Rumpelstiltskin. Despite the bright and beautiful cover, this is a dark tale about monsters who lurk in the woods.
If it is anything like Craig’s previous book, I’m sure I’ll love it!
I have no idea where I heard of this book or this author, being Rebecca Barrow. I am removing this book and might add it down the road when I actually know what it is, what it’s about, or the release date.
This one is a retelling of some sort of Peter Pan. I am going to remove it, even though I WANT to read it.
I have owned Cemetery Boys by this author for almost a year now and I need to get to that one first! Once I read that one, I can get to this one for sure.
I know this is about a person who dies kind of early in their life and realizes they didn’t live their life to the fullest. It kind of sounds like the Pixar movie Soul to me. BUT, in this one, I think the MC gets a chance to live for a week again and try to live their life to the fullest in that week.
This book comes out in September and I do have a ARC of it. In a perfect world, I would get to it this month, but will most likely read it in September.
This is the fourth book in the A Court of Thorns and Roses series. I’m really excited to get to this, but won’t be buying it until it comes out in paperback. I own all the really colorful paperbacks of this series that came out last year and I want this one to match!
The next book on my list is the novella that is supposed to come out in this series at some point. It doesn’t have a name or cover, so I can’t add that here and it’s STAYing, too.
This is another one that I WANT to read, but am reading something else by this author. I already started the Lux series and just need to get to it before this one.
I’m going to remove it, but know I REALLY want to read it!
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think this is a YA romance, which means I am removing it!
Besides, I heard there is a lot about fanfiction in this one. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t care if other people like fanfic, but I think it so cringey. Back when I read Fangirl, I liked the story, but skipped right over the fanfic because I just don’t like it.
I was excited to read it because of the size rep, but I’ll find something else with it that I might like.
This is the 5th book in the Mr. Lemoncello series. In the first book, a new library is built in town. This library was built by Mr. Lemocello, a VERY famous board game creator. Think Willy Wonka, but board games. This library is unlike any other! There are VR games, holograms, dancing robots, and all kinds of fun. In book one, we follow Kyle, who gets a ticket to be one of the first people to enter the library and he, along with other contestants, have to escape it. Like an escape the room type game. Each book has a different game in it.
I can’t wait to read this book! I thoguht it would be the last one, but I asked on Goodreads and Grabenstein answered me back saying there will be more to come.
I found this series because I thought the previous one was coming to an END! This series is about a game where there are books hidden all over the country, sort of like Geocaching, but with books. The game in this book really does exist and can be found on the their website. IT ISN’T JUST IN AMERICA! You can hide and find books ALL OVER THE WORLD.
I do own a copy of book one and will for sure be reading it. I can’t wait for Believathon this November, so I can binge all my middle grade books I haven’t read yet.
