Alli the Book Giraffe

An autistic book lover

WWW Wednesday (May 5, 2021)

Hello readers! How is everyone this month? I feel like the year has gone by so fast! This is my last post before I go on my break. I’m writing this on Tuesday night, so I won’t be doing much on the 5th. I am going to spend this break reading and relaxing.

In case you missed my last post, I will be going on a hiatus until the 15th. Don’t be afraid to drop a comment below or message me on Instagram. I will reply to you, I just won’t be posting anywhere except a few Insta stories here and there. I’m gonna come back better than ever and more organized, so I’m working smarter and not harder.

Before we go any further in this post, I want to disclaim there are affiliate links and ads within this post.

What are you currently reading?

I have been reading this for a few days now. So far, I know it is about cloning and the ethics of cloning. I don’t know this for sure, but I think they clone people and then harvest the clones organs for other people. However, I just suspect that to be true. I don’t actually know.

What did you read last?

This graphic novel is about a dress maker and a prince. The prince really loves dressing in beautiful gowns and hires this dress maker to make them. I am not sure if the prince is meant to be doing drag OR is meant to be transgender, because it never says. However, I loved this story. The ending had me laughing so hard. I really wish this were a series instead of just one book because I think the story could continue. I would like to have seen more about the dress maker because she is the MC.

What will you read next?

I have quite a few graphic novels to get to this month and I think this will be my next one. I’m still in my reading slump, so these graphic novels are getting me through.

This is a graphic novel memoir about the author when she and her mother move from Seoul, Korea to America. She is thrust into a life where she can’t talk to any of her friends or make new ones because she doesn’t speak English. I really love graphic novel memoirs, so I’m sure I will love this one, too.

  3. Never Let Me Go is one of my favourite books and one of the first ones I ‘reviewed.’ I should reread it and review it properly!
I hope that you like it as much as I do.

Enjoy your break and I look forward to reading your thoughts when you get back.
