Hello everyone! It’s tag Thursday again and this week I’m doing a Halloween-themed book tag. I might as well do one before Halloween. I’m excited for Halloween this year because my daughter wasn’t able to trick or treat for the last two years. Last year, there was a pandemic, but the year before that it was raining and freezing outside.
This tag was created by Booktuber The Book Pusher. Please check out her original video and let’s just jump into it.
THRILLERS OR SUPERNATURALS (?)
When it comes to horror, I prefer supernatural. I love horror books and movies with ghosts/demons in them. I still love a good domestic thriller, but my favorite is ghost stories.
GHOSTS OR ZOMBIES
Ghosts! I don’t care for zombies. I do watch The Walking Dead, but I don’t really prefer any type of zombie story.
VAMPIRES OR WEREWOLVES
I haven’t actually experienced many werewolf stories. I do miss the vampire trend back in the eary 2010s! I would read vampire book any day. However, I actually prefer when the story has both!
WITCHES OR DEMONS
I would prefer demons. I hate that most witch stories are about evil witches that create all the bad stereotypes about paganism. I know a few pagans that do witchcraft and they aren’t evil.
WOULD YOU RATHER READ A BOOK WITH 13 CHAPTERS OR READ A BOOK WITH A BLACK CAT ON THE COVER?
I don’t understand why people fear black cats. I have a black cat and he is the sweetest, most loving cat. I love all my cats, no matter their fur color!
WOULD YOU RATHER READ A SPOOKY BOOK IN THE DARK WITH ONLY A CANDLE FOR LIGHT OR BY YOURSELF IN A LOCKED BRIGHTLY LIT ROOM?
This is an interesting question. Who locked me in the room? I’d say the book with the candle light. I don’t like it when the lights are too bright.
WOULD YOU RATHER FACE YOUR WORST FEARS OR BE TRAPPED IN THE MIND OF A KILLER?
I would rather face my worst fears. I don’t want to have extreme detail of how a killer has killed someone stuck in my brain. I think that would be a burden too hard to bear.
WOULD YOU RATHER WATCH A SCARY MOVIE OR READ A SCARY BOOK?
As of right now, I would say the movie. I just haven’t read that many books I thought were really, really scary. I have loved scary movies since I was very little, so I’m going with that.
WOULD YOU RATHER READ SPOOKY BOOKS DURING THE FALL TIME OR ALL YEAR?
I have never been the kind of person who reads certain genres during certain times of the year. I’ll read a thriller/horror any time of the year!
WOULD YOU RATHER READ 10 SPOOKY BOOKS IN OCTOBER OR 10 SPOOKY BOOKS ALL YEAR??
I would say 10 spooky books all year. I can’t read a lot of the same genre over and over. If I tried to read 10 books in October, I would get maybe 4 books in before I got tired of them. I need to switch genres every 2 to 3 books or I’ll go into a bad slump.
