Hello readers! It is another WWW Wednesday post. I skipped last week because I didn’t read anything, but I did start a new book yesterday, so I have updates to give.
If you don’t know, WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme created by Taking On a World of Words where you share what you have read recently, are currently reading, and will read next. You can do this EVERY week, or as often as you like.
The Wives follows a woman who is referred to as Thursday. She is married to a man named Seth and he has two other wives called Monday and Tuesday. None of the wives know one another and all live in separate homes, but Thursday lives much farther away than the other two. She is quite jealous of them because she doesn’t see Seth as much as they do. The actual plot centers around Thursday finding out a scary secret about Seth and his other wivers and what she does following that reveal.
I don’t know yet what the reveal is, but I do think this book is good so far. I’m only a few chapters in, but I’m already hooked. I’m hoping the twists to come are really good! I haven’t read many thrillers in 2022 thus far and I hope to get back into them soon.
Does anyone else go through small phases where they read a ton of one genre and then move to the next genre? I think it’s the ADHD in me.
This is the 7th book in the Shopaholic series. I can’t say much about it plot-wise. HOWEVER, I am kinda lowkey mad about this one. It seemed like a lot more thought went into it than the previous book. There was a plot and quite a few subplots, but it ended on a cliff-hanger, despite being almost 500 pages.
Originally this series was 8 books (now 9), so I know it should all wrap up in the next one, but it’s still frustrating AF that the book had so many pages, yet couldn’t wrap up any of the ongoing plots.
I was scrolling through Libby and found this one available. I actually tried to get an ARC of this book before it came out and it didn’t happen! However, I still want to read this one.
This one follows Hani. She comes out to her friends as BI and none of them believe her because she hasn’t dated a girl before. She panics and blurts out she’s dating Ishu, when she isn’t.
When Hani tells Ishu what she did, they agree to fake date, but Ishu wants something in return. She wants to be popular and believes Hani can help her with that.
