Hello readers! October has gone by so fast! Today it is Tag Thursday and we are doing the Fall into fall book tag. This tag was created by The Book Belle on Booktube.
Please comment down below and let me know if you like these kind of book tags. They are a bit out of my comfort zone, but I want to do them more if my readers love them!
1. What book always reminds you of fall/autumn?

For some reason, fall makes me think of vampire books. I truly wish vampire books would make a comeback! They are almost all I read when I was a teen.
2. What is your favourite autumnal book cover?

I read Small Spaces last year and didn’t really enjoy it. HOWEVER, I do love this cover. I think it is a really spooky middle grade cover.
I think middle grade spooky books just have some of the best covers, and I’m a sucker for an illustrated cover!
3. What is your favourite autumnal drink to read with?
I am an apple cider kind of person. I’ve been going to my local apple orchard the past two years and this year am planning to make some of my very own apple cider. I hope it turns out amazing, because I really love apple cider!
4. Do you prefer to read late at night or early in the morning?
I actually like both! If I want to get a lot of reading done in the day, I will start reading early in the morning, but I do prefer to read after dinner most days. My husband always plays fortnite after dinner with his brother, so that’s the perfect time to get in some reading!
5. Halloween is coming! What is your favourite spooky read?

I read And The Trees Crept In last year and really hope to reread it one day. It is about these two sisters who go to stay with their aunt after their parents get into a physical fight. It also has this being called the creeper man, which is basically slender man.
This is one of my favorite books I’ve ever read and has one of my favorite tropes of all time. I can’t say what is is because of spoilers.
6. What is the ultimate comfort read for you?

I don’t read a lot of happy or funny books, but these are one of my favorite series of all time. I started reading this series as a very young teen and still buy and read them every time one is published.
It is even better now that my 8-year-old reads them too! I never thought being a middle grade lover would be something I could share with my kids one day.
7. What is your favourite autumnal reading snack?

Every single year I have to get at least one box of pumpkin delights. I’ve been eating these since I was a kid and seek them out every year. Does anyone else have a snack they loved since childhood?
8. What is your favourite autumnal candle to burn whilst reading?
My favorite candles to burn are lavender or just basic vanilla scented. I have a lot of cats, so I can’t have them going all the time.
9. When you’re not reading, what is your favourite autumnal activity?
This year we have been watching a lot of scary movies. We’ve been watching through the Alien franchise and hope to get through a few others this year, too. I’ve always been a big fan of horror movies and this year is no different.
10. What is on your autumn/fall reading list?

I am really not a scifi fan. However, I really enjoy Brandon Sanderson’s books. I am getting to the point where I’ve almost read everything within the Cosmere and I would like to branch outside of it.
Skyward is exactly like the books I don’t like involving space, space ships, space battles, etc. Nevertheless, I really want to try it and see because it’s a Sanderson series.

Apple cider is my favourite too! I’ve found this pub along the River Thames that does the best apple cider (it’s not so popular in the UK!)

It is definitely an underated drink! Everyone is too busy drinking their pumpkin spice instead of the cider lol

I had pumpkin spice for the first time last week and wasn’t obsessed with it like everyone seems to be (it definitely wasn’t bad but not my favourite!)

I’m rereading Vampire Academy now and it is definitely a cosy, autumn read!

It’s such a good series. I really need to read Bloodlines ASAP.

When I first read the books, I started bloodlines but only made it half way through🙈

I read the first Bloodlines once a long time ago and really need to reread it at some point! I don’t remember anything about it, but I think I liked it?

I am halfway through Skyward at the moment, it’s slow but interesting so far! I agree, Small Spaces has such a perfect autumn cover (I kinda enjoyed the story too!)

I hope we both end up loving Skyward! It’s just way out of my comfort zone, so I’m not sure if I will, but I’m optimistic.
I know a ton of people liked Small Spaces, but I just didn’t. I might try to reread it one day in the future and see if I like it then.
